Empowering the community through
Education, Advocacy, Live Painting, and Charity.
As an educator, I believe that creative expression serves as, not only a tool to supplement academic learning but, a mechanism for healthy wellness practices and coping. Through my curriculums & programming, I encourage students to engage in conversations about identity, culture, and choice through student driven learning and social/emotional pedagogy.
As a Teaching Artist for the Hawaii State Foundation of Culture & the Arts (HSFCA), my role is to work with schools, and teachers, in the Department of Education (DOE) and provide creative programming to enrich their current curriculum.
Pre-COVID, I would frequently live paint at festivals, markets, and at other public spaces/events. As much as its important to teach and push advocacy, I also believe that being present and vulnerable with your creative process is inspiring for a lot of people. If I am vending at events, expect me to have an easel up! If I'm having coffee at a coffee shop, expect me to have drawing you can look over at!
In the year of 2020, I established a global team of content creators to be ambassadors of creativity and positivity. We hold an online benefit concert twice a year that features 16 different musicians across the globe.
As of 2022, ZJA University has raised over $50,000 toward charity
